Charmaine Sweets & Bakery – East York, Toronto

Charmaine Sweets & Bakery is a standout example of Canadalux Contracting’s ability to turn a blank space into a fully customized commercial bakery, tailored to meet both functional demands and brand identity, all from the ground up.

This 3,000 sq. ft. project, located in East York, began with a bold goal: to relocate from an old location across the street into a brand-new space built to modern standards. With a soaring 25-foot ceiling and an empty shell to work with, our team took on the challenge of designing and constructing an inviting, high-performance bakery and retail space,  all under one roof.

We handled every detail, from permitting, framing, HVAC and commercial kitchen integration, to interior finishes, millwork, lighting, and bakery display zones. The result is a warm, open, and highly efficient space that reflects the heart of Charmaine’s business.

Throughout the process, Charmaine and her entire family were actively involved and deeply appreciative of the work. Their excitement grew with each milestone, and the final outcome was met with genuine joy and gratitude.
